1943 - construieste primul emitator cu scantei, in timpul liceului. Prima radiolegatura - pe o distanta de 200m, apoi mai tarziu intre Brasov si Timisoara. 1947 - autorizat ca radioamator in cadrul A.A.R.U.S. Articol YO6XO

1943 - builds his first spark transmitter, while in highschool; First QSO distance: 200m, then later between Brasov and Timisoara(around 300km); 1947 - licensed as radioamateur and member of the Romanian Short-wave Amateur Association. A lifetime dedicated for ham activity, with many changes during the harsh times of WWII and communist era. Still active in CW & SSB in HF and VHF.
